Looking for a way to spread some holiday cheer this winter?  Thinking of making a year-end charitable donation?  Now is a great time to donate to Local Foods Connection!

During this holiday season, as you celebrate family and giving, please think of the members of our community who need our help giving the gifts of good food and health to their families.

Local Foods Connection is planning now for the 2009 growing season and your donation will enable us to enroll local low-income families and the social service agencies that serve them in our program, which includes a CSA membership and nutrition education. Donations of any size are welcome.

We have two easy ways to donate; you can mail a check to:

Local Foods Connection
PO Box 2821
Iowa City, IA 52244

Or donate safely and securely online:

Thank you and happy holidays!

I’m glad that your post included my recent blog posting Spend Less, Give More, which encourages even the most frugal among us to act philanthropically this year. Part of today’s post at Suddenly Frugal http://suddenlyfrugal.wordpress.com/2008/12/19/please-dont-turn-dear-santa-into-dear-scrooge/ was about that topic, too. Thanks.
